Abstract

Sioban village has existed since 1945, when the goverment system  was still in the form of a Nagari, since 1999, Sioban village began to undergo canges, because Mentawai District had separated it self from Padang Pariaman Regency and established its own district, namely the Mentawai Island Regency. The Mentawai Island carry out governance, starting from thr division of the sub-district in 2009 in the Mentawai Islands, including the Sipora sub-district, which is the capital of the Sioban sub-district, which is divided into the North Sipora District and the South Sipora District. Based on the results of research since the establishment of the Mentawai Island District, the aim of which is to get out of its backwardness, has not been seen in Sioban Village, South Sipora Subdistrict, because it is seen from the development of the village, infrastructure and social communities that are still langging behind. You can see that in the village at this time there is no internet network, tlephone network is still difficult. Judging from the original Mentawai traditions, the village community, the village community has no longer been preserving these original traditions since the exixtence of government policies.

Abstract

Nagari Adat in Minangkabau are autonomous nagari and part of the lowest nagari governance system in West Sumatra. The naming of adat nagari in West Sumatra is more for the sake of tourism, so that some nagari that have tourism potential were developed into adat nagari and promoted on a district and provincial basis. So that the first 4 traditional villages were chosen, namely, the Indudur angari, the Seribu Gadang Nagari, Pariyangan Nagari, and Jawi-Jawi villages. The four nagari have become national tourist destinations and have been visited by domestic and foreign tourists and were recorded in the tourist calendar in West Sumatra. The development of adat nagari ultimately spurred other nagari to develop their potential in their adat and tourism.

Abstract

Peninggalan sejarah mendatangkan keuntungan besar dalam bidang pariwista sejarah dan budaya. Padang sebagai kota warisan Kolonial Belanda juga memiliki bangunan bersejarah yang sudah dikategorikan sebagai benda cagar budaya. Berdasarkan Keputusan Walikota Padang nomor 3 tahun 1998 terdapat sebanyak 74 buah bangunan yang masuk kagori benda cagar budaya. Dewasa ini jumlah bangunan bersejarah yang masih bertahan semakin berkurang, seiring dengan kurangnya kontrol pemerintah dan juga terjadinya bencana alam. Untuk itu diperlukan keseriusan dan kesadaran sejarah dari semua pihak (stakeholder), baik itu pemerintah maupun jajaran industri pariwisata, termasuk masyarakat kota Padang  untuk mengembangkan dan melesratarikan pariwisata kota tua Padang. Karena potensi wisata yang ada di kota tua Padang sangat beragam dan menjual untuk wisata budaya, agama dan sejarah. Kota tua yang multi etnis dan beragam budaya yang juga eksis menjadi bagian kecil dari potensi wisata yang dapat dijual kepada wisatawan lokal, nasional maupun internasional. Semua itu hanya diperlukan kerjasama yang baik antar semua elemen masyarakat untuk saling menjaga dan melestarikan serta mengembangkan potensi kota tua yang ada. Jika hal itu terwujud pariwisata kota tua Padang akan memberikan kontribusi yang besar bagi pemerintah kota Padang melalui Pendapatan Asli Daerah  (PAD), perbaikan ekonomi bagi masyarakat setempat dan juga bisa menjadi alternatif wisata yang berbudaya, religi dan sejarah bagi Kota Padang. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode penelitian kulitatif.

Abstract

The younger generation increasingly does not love local culture. This is proven by the existence of increasingly sophisticated technology. The change in learning during the Covid period from face-to-face to online has increasingly made the younger generation less interested in learning anything. Meanwhile, preserving local culture is very important for this millennial generation. Simulation project-based learning (PBPS) is a learning model that will awaken a generation's love for local cultural traditions. The purpose of this study is to reveal efforts to preserve local culture in Simulation Project Based Learning (PBPS) media. This research method is to use qualitative research methods by analyzing data with reduction, data presentation and verification. The results of this study revealed that the simulation project-based learning model was carried out in 6 steps, namely: Determining Fundamental Questions (Start with the Essential Question). Designing Project Planning (Design a Plan for the Project). Testing the Results (Assess the Outcome). Implementation of Simulation (Simulation). Interviewing Students and the Progress of the Project (Monitor the Students and the Progress of the Project). Evaluate the Experience (Evaluate the Experience). Of the six steps in this PBPS, it is carried out in every existing studio. By carrying out this PBPS for 8 meetings, efforts to preserve local culture will be realized in the millennial generation.
